Works of Faith

6/22/19

Works of faith, not works and faith, is what pleases God. A sincere faith that produces good works is most beneficial for the preservation of all creation. It’s in our best interest to investigate, refine, and express our faith in order to “redeem our consciousness” (Luther), and preserve our purity for the sake of others. Works and faith would force us to contaminate the sacred well of perfection—for faith alone (for spiritual regeneration) is the reflection of God’s delighted face against the still waters of our mending hearts. Works and faith is the man-made distortion of that reflection by creating God in our image, that is to say, a racist revolt of mortal versus immortal against heaven. Let us all be still and drink deep of the well of God’s grace—a faith with works or works of faith.
