Hello Friends,
Sari and I had a great time at the Grace Mellman Library book fair on the 21st, their first ever. They did a great job accommodating all the authors and vendors with refreshments and assistance with their booths. We were there for over six hours slinging water to parched strollers, talking to curious pedestrians, getting to know our fellow authors and their craft, as well as raffling off Salvador swag.

Those of you who know me know I love being around people, especially those from all walks of literary life, from those who love reading and escaping into weird worlds to those who appreciate the process that’s essential to writing, editing, and publishing a good book.
I got to be part of an “author talk” which involved discussing my latest book–Salvador: Sofía’s Story. It was encouraging to see people react positively to the story that has taken me over 25 years to publish.

My hope for those who purchased a copy of Salvador is to have them become engaged with the characters in this beloved speculative fiction who are being called to authenticity in the midst of life’s capricious mishaps.
Salvador is a lot of things–a high-octane, speculative fiction thrill-ride containing exciting concepts like gematria, the Mazzaroth (zodiac), astro-theology, C.R.A.S.H. (and its gang-initiated retaliation), electromagnetism, quantum entanglement, the Bermuda Triangle, wormholes (on top of the Great Pyramid of Giza), the Great Sphinx, a secret Scroll, time travel, and the theory of everything.
But what I am most excited about are the existential themes of faith and doubt, hope and despair, and forgiveness and resentment, which parallel the lives of every (mere) human being who’s ever lived.

Enjoy Salvador. Enjoy the call to authenticity.
