The Best Version of Yourself

5/27/22

We need to hear and heed this NOW more than EVER!

Be kind.

Be understanding.

People are fragile, whether they show it or not.

Learn to recognize the frightened child in everyone by listening rather than speaking.

Just as you were when you were a child—afraid of failure—you will undoubtedly be tempted as an adult with the fear of not being accepted by your peers.

None is exempt! Some are just better at masking it than others.

Remember that you have been given not a spirit of fear, but a spirit of dynamic power and strength, creativity and generosity, self-discipline and wisdom.

You’ve been equipped with power to call out fear in yourself, and even in others, and banish it by the authority you carry in Christ Jesus.

Believe it and you will be a kinder, more generous person.

Live it and you will understand the plight of all persons.

When you begin empathizing with others and responding in sympathy to their needs, you can help anyone and everyone in your sphere of influence.

If kindness (sympathy) and understanding (empathy) have evaded you, you have evaded being the best version of yourself.

So beautifully expressed! This should be read at every graduation ceremony, for these are words to take with one out into the world. Your poetry continues to touch the hearts and minds of all who read them.

His enemies, on the other hand, exhibited an allergic reaction to his…

Momentarily, personal matters have culminated into a powder keg. Pray. Breathe. Exercise. Pray. Write. Work. Pray. Have been my constant companions who’ve gotten me through these waves…

After years of researching, writing, reading, and studying in the fields of psychology, theology, philosophy, ethics, and spiritual formation, I have decided to become a spiritual life coach for men. My personal conviction is that coaching is modeling. And modeling is coaching. My heart is to see Christian men…
